Role Profile
Are you a Procurement Administrator, Expediter or Junior Buyer, looking to further develop your Procurement experience?
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a Junior Buyer role with a thriving business in Bolton.
You will work as part of a great Procurement team, and will be responsible for placing and expediting purchase orders across the supplier base.
As you develop within this role, there will be real scope to take on more responsibility - with a number of interesting projects in the pipeline, this should prove to be a great opportunity to develop your procurement skill set!
Key responsibilities will include:
- Placing purchase orders and expediting deliveries with suppliers
- Ensuring all orders are delivered on time and to the required specification
- Contacting suppliers with RFPs and RFIs in order to obtain information needed for customer quotations
- Assisting the wider Procurement team with cost reductions and improved supplier performance
- Supporting with additional projects and process improvement initiatives within the department
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous purchasing or supply chain experience, with a passion to develop a career within Procurement
- Desire to work towards CIPS qualification
- Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence to influence and negotiate with suppliers
- High attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy role!
