Role Profile
Our client is a growing Logistics business who are looking to expand their Business Development team by hiring a National Business Development Manager to be based in Lancashire. Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a commercial strategy, across both New Business Development and Account Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finding new business opportunities and turning them into profitable agreements for the wider business
- Continue to grow the existing client base, offering a variety of solutions
- Report weekly/monthly to the Business Development Director
- Developing strong relationships across the business
- Together with other key stakeholders within the business, completing solutions design proposals - within Warehousing and Transport
- Attend monthly account reviews with existing clients
- Attend meetings with new business prospects
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience of selling Warehousing & Transport solutions is essential
- Strong financial acumen
- Ability to find new leads and convert to profitable business
- Experience of using CRM systems
- Experience of Cross-Selling/Up-Selling existing accounts to increase revenue streams and provide multiple services to one client
- Worked previously within a growing Logistics business
