Location: Surrey

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000

We are working with a leading Wholesale Distribution business, who are looking for an experienced Operations Director to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the logistics side of the business is running efficiently and profitably. You will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the logistics and supply chain operation, ensuring that customer service levels are met, quality standards are met and cost targets are met.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing operational strategies to ensure the logistics side of the business is running efficiently and profitably.
• Overseeing all operational aspects of the business, such as warehousing, logistics and supply chain.
• Managing and motivating staff to ensure they are working to their full potential.
• Managing budgets and resources efficiently.
• Focus on operational improvements, planning for the future and looking at process changes.
• Oversee and drive project management for significant projects such as new WMS and driving continuous improvement.

Technical Skills:

• Proven track record in a similar role.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry.
• Experience of budgeting and resource management.
• Good understanding of customer service.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
