Operations Manager - Logistics - High Wycombe - £45,000
We are a recruitment agency looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join an established logistics business based in High Wycombe.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operations of the business, ensuring that the operations are running smoothly, efficiently and in line with the company's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operations and long-term planning for the business
* Oversee the transportation of goods and ensure that all processes are carried out in a timely manner
* Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer service
* Monitor performance of operations and take action to ensure targets are met
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, safety and industry standards
* Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and guidance
* Manage the budget and ensure cost-effectiveness
* Oversee the recruitment, training and development of staff
Technical Skills Required
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of the logistics industry
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Good IT skills
