What's the role?
- Establish a culture of health and safety on site, encouraging safe actions and practices, and continually enhancing health and safety standards.
- Keep up with all mandatory site training, induction, FORS, and driver CPC requirements. Ensure prompt completion of all HSEQ training and updates.
- Management for all personnel on site, ensuring they have access to relevant training and support as needed.
- Conduct monthly reviews with staff, and lead any disciplinary matters including absence, return to works etc.
- Exceed Transport KPIs and stock targets relating to cost, service and efficiency.
- Ownership of site budgets ensuring they are aligned to revenue targets.
What do we need?
The desire to work in a hands-on environment and be adaptable is essential, but also…
- High level of management experience in a fast-paced Transport / Logistics setting
- Strong people management skills with the ability to be assertive and communicate well
- Previous experience and knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
- Current understanding of Health and Safety Regulations, ideally with IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications
