Our client is a Pharmaceutical Manufacturer seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee their busy day-to-day operation with a main focus on the end-to-end supply chain and order management & processing.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic candidate with experience in Supply Chain now looking to take on more responsibility in a fast-paced environment with a family feel environment.

The role is Monday to Friday, typical office hours and is based on site in the Manchester city centre office.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the Operations department and Product Shipments.
  • Responsible for monthly forecasts for UK & ROI to ensure stock levels are maintained and correct.
  • Work closely and liaise with the international manufacturing sites, co-ordinating imports and monitoring inventory to ensure optimal performance.
  • Evaluate contribution and performance of direct reports and train and development wherever possible.
  • Review and evolve current sustainability practices across Operations including carbon reduction initiatives, contributions to net zero targets etc, involving both internal and external stakeholders.

What we need from you:

  • Demonstratable knowledge in Supply Chain & Order Management practices.
  • Quick decision maker and analytical problem solver - the successful candidate will understand the urgency & criticality of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong communication across all levels of stakeholders, suppliers and 3PL partners.
  • Experience within Import & Export in a regulated industry.
  • Passion & enthusiasm for Operations with the natural desire to explore and collaborate with other areas of the business.
