Role Profile
Our client is a home furnishings manufacturer based in Manchester. They are looking to appoint a Buyer with significant influence & responsibility for the procurement functions (particularly indirects) whilst working alongside the Marketing & Operation departments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic candidate with a passion for purchasing, creative flair and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for indirect procurement such as marketing collateral, point of sale and packaging.
- Managing and maintaining supplier relationships - full responsibility for negotiating on cost and tracking supplier performances
- Work closely with the Marketing and Design team as procurement lead
- Monitoring procurement KPIs - carrying out investigations and leading improvement process groups
- Working closely with other departments to support with QC and ensure products are received at expected quality levels
- Administer quarterly audited stock checks, supporting the Head of Operations with analysis
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience within purchasing role
- Negotiation and influencing skills with ability to maximise relationships with suppliers
- Strong Excel experience with ability to analyse data and interpret data sets
- Driving License - Essential
