Role Profile

Our client is an entrepreneurial, growing SME business experiencing an exciting period of development and change. Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager you'll play a key role in ensuring the procurement and supply chain functions of the business run efficiently. This will include responsibility for significant spend, supplier management and shipping. The role is Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm based onsite at our clients newly-refurbished offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory management across a global supplier base e.g. China & Turkey.
  • Execute procurement strategy through approved suppliers, ensuring optimal stock levels and pricing align with customers expectations
  • Stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, delivering excellent customer service
  • Proactively identifying and resolving any potential stock challenges to ensure continuity of supply
  • Plan and coordinate freight shipments through various freight forwarder relationships. This will including optimising container builds and exploring pricing options with forwarders
  • Ensure shipments have accurate correct incoterms and commodity codes to avoid shipping delays/ hold ups.
  • Liaising with manufacturing plant to execute production campaigns in cost effective manner
  • Maintain procurement data, ensuring strong attention to detail and system integrity

Keys Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to influence stakeholders across different business functions (sales, customer service, finance, etc)
  • Natural problem-solver with strong analytical skills
  • Data focused with strong numerical and forecasting skills
  • Background working with manufacturing or production teams would be advantageous
  • System-savvy, with experience of ERP systems
  • Ability to multi-task and handle varied workload with strict deadlines
