Role Profile
Our client is a successful and established manufacturing business in the Manchester area. They are looking to appoint a Production Planner to join their team on a fixed term contract until at least summer 2020.
This role will focus on Production Planning for the manufacturing facility on site.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning production activities for manufacturing in line with production capacity, material availability and customer needs
- Working closely with the Production Team to proactively resolve potential issues and ensure production targets are met
- Actively contributing to Production Planning and Capacity Planning meetings, providing reports and analysis on performance and KPIs
- Working closely with the customer service team to ensure customer orders will be fulfilled on time and in full
- Proactively responding to changes in demand to amend production schedule accordingly
- Recommending continuous improvements
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrable experience in a Production Planning/ Production Scheduling role
- Experience of production planning within a manufacturing environment, ideally engineering
- Strong analytical ability with an excellent working knowledge of Excel and other planning systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for continuous improvements
