Role Profile
Our client is a global manufacturing business in the Cheltenham area, looking to appoint a Production Planning Team Leader to guide and support a team of 4 established planners.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Creation and agreement of daily, weekly, monthly production plans
- Assiting in planning oif new producution introductions
- Managing of MRP inventory planning parameters including; safety stock rules, re-order points, batch size, etc
- Attend bond meetings and provide updates to managerial team
- Action Engineering Changes accordingly to ensure availability in line with effectivity dates.
- Supporting monthly demand reviews
- Work closely with manufacturing to optimise productivity
Skills & Experience
This is a exciting role with the opportunity for both experienced people managers and those senior planners ready to take the next step:
- SAP Production Planning experince highly desirable
Strong problem solving, analytical, numeracy skills & organisational skills
* Excellent written & verbal communication and negotiation skills.
* Needs to demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to make a logical judgment quickly quite often against tight deadlines.
* A sound working knowledge of MRP systems and experienced in manufacturing planning and control techniques, ideally gained in a busy manufacturing environment.
* Minimum 2 year's previous manufacturing experience
