Role Profile
Our client is a growing privately-owned business, who have recently invested over £2 million into new production equipment and facilities to scale with growth. As Quality & Compliance Manager, you will take ownership of the company's quality, safety and regulatory standards across its Runcorn operation, which includes goods-in, storage, fulfilment, production and packing. Working closely with production, warehouse and technical teams, you will lead internal audits, manage external audits, deliver training, and embed a culture of quality, compliance and "doing things right" at every level of the organisation
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring BRC accreditation and managing audits.
- Ensuring GMP standards are followed and continuously improved.
- Ability to manage and develop QMS systems and ISO implementation.
- Lead and manage audits.
- Embed best practises for quality across production, storage, fulfilment and packing.
- Coach teams on compliance and quality behaviour.
- Work closely with senior leadership, proving reports of quality performances, trends, risks and improvement initiatives.
- Manage and investigate non-conformances.
Key Skills & Experiences
- Strong background in Quality & Compliance, ideally from a Food/Pharma or FMCG background.
- Strong understanding of both BRC and GMP quality standards.
- Ability to influence at all levels.
- Hands-on experience of working with QMS systems.
- Experience of working with bonded warehouses preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong data analysis skills, including root-cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety principles.
