£50,000 plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the supply base by opening major supply accounts and sourcing European sourced products.
• Implement a buying strategy to ensure you have the right suppliers for each product.
• Clear understanding of negotiations, competitive tender processes, and to analyse the end-to-end supply chains for the products; drive efficiency and save reduce costs.
• Build your price strategy, promotional plans and agreeing commercials with your suppliers.
• Market insight and key trends in the marketplace.
• Analyse customer, market and product data; key industry insights for your area.
• SKU targets to make sure you are not over/under indexing.
• Performance reports at periodic meetings.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in buying is essential.
• Experience in strong negotiations.
• Team player with enthusiasm to work in a high performing team.
• Strong relationship builder with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to turn complex information into clear opportunities and decisions.
• Above average user of Excel
