Role Profile:
Our client is a growing 3PL company known for its excellence in warehousing, distribution, and transport services. They currently seeking a Senior Operations Manager with a CPC Licence to join their team and play a crucial role in managing and optimizing their logistics and distribution operations. If you're a hands-on professional with significant experience in warehousing and logistics, especially in the food, chilled, and ambient sectors, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of warehouse facilities, ensuring efficient and safe storage of products.
- Provide leadership to the transport function, overseeing transport team and responsible for fleet management for company HGVs.
- Implement best practices for inventory management, including tracking, storage, and order picking.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to maintain high levels of accuracy and order fulfilment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, particularly with your CPC Licence.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of operations professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Monitor team performance and provide training and development opportunities as needed.
- Continuously assess operational processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Implement cost-effective strategies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Report directly to the senior leadership, providing regular updates on operational performance and KPIs.
What are we looking for?
- A CPC Licence is essential, and you will have ideally been named on the Operator Licence in previous roles.
- Proven experience in warehousing, logistics, and distribution, with a focus on food, chilled, and ambient products.
- Demonstrated success in a senior management role, preferably within a similar industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide your team to success.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for process optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
