Bunzl Retail Supplies are excited to be commissioning their new 231,000 square foot facility in Burton Latimer in June 2020 and Cast UK have been chosen as their exclusive partner for their recruitment requirements on site. Bunzl Retail are part of the FTSE100 listed Bunzl PLC. Also operating out of the Burton Latimer site and part of Bunzl Retail Supplies will be Woodway UK, Lightning Packaging Supplies, Keenpac and Classic Bag.
To help assist with leading the warehouse operative team on each shift, Bunzl are looking to recruit a Senior Warehouse operative for each shift. The are fixed shift patterns per role working Monday to Friday and we are recruiting:
1 x 06:00hrs - 14:00hrs
1 x 14:00hrs - 22:00hrs
1 x 22:00hrs - 06:00hrs
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shift controllers throughout shift
· Discharge duties in a safe manner in accordance with relevant legislation and Bunzl EHS policies.
· Use all equipment provided in accordance with safe working practices.
· Deliver agreed targets and deadlines for any work agreed with Shift Controllers
· Pick goods accurately and build pallets in a way that protects personal safety, the safety of the driver in transit and when delivering and ensures the integrity of the product.
· Assist in loading vehicles, working with the driver to ensure compliance with all legal requirements on vehicle loading
- Report any short orders.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment
· Knowledge of Red Prairie
· Knowledge of H&S policy
· Confident and able to speak to the shift team
· LLOP licence
- Reach truck licence
