We are a leading recruitment agency seeking a SHEQ Manager to join our client in the food industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the SHEQ framework and ensuring that the organisation and its employees are compliant with all relevant legislation.

The main duties and responsibilities of the SHEQ Manager will include:

• Developing and implementing a SHEQ strategy
• Developing and maintaining policies, procedures and processes
• Ensuring all employees are aware of and adhere to SHEQ policies
• Training and developing staff in SHEQ matters
• Accountable for completing internal audits at the depot to support assurance, audits and risk objectives.
• Investigating any incidents or non-conformances
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding SHEQ
• Creating reports and presenting them to senior management

The ideal candidate will have the following technical skills and experience:

• Working knowledge of company processes and standards within the business and demonstration of practical application.
• Strong knowledge and background in Health and Safety, Environmental management, food standards and auditing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the business.
• The ability to interpret and apply safety legislation and policy.
• Problem solving and risk assessment skills.
• The ability to work within budgetary controls.
• IT literate (MS Office)
• NEBOSH - National General Certificate or equivalent.
• HACCP Level 3 (desirable)
• Food Safety Level 3 (desirable)
