Shift Manager - Late Shift

Location: Chessington, Surrey
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: Sunday to Thursday (Late Shift)

  • Sunday: 10:00am - 6:00pm (or potentially 12:00pm - 8:00pm)
  • Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

The Opportunity

We're looking to bring on board an experienced Shift Manager (or Senior Supervisor) to oversee our late shift operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting time of transformation - including the implementation of a new ERP system.

  • Lead and manage the late shift team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe warehouse and transport operations.
  • Oversee a team of around 20 warehouse operatives and 16 drivers across shifts.
  • Coordinate and support daily order fulfilment, vehicle loading, and next-day delivery preparation.
  • Manage evening handovers and ensure clear communication between early, mid, and late shifts.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and operational performance.
  • Play a key role in embedding new systems and processes as the business transitions to Business Central ERP.
  • Support and develop your team, leading by example and fostering a positive working culture.

About You

We're looking for someone with strong people management skills, operational understanding, and a proactive attitude. You'll be confident managing a busy warehouse and transport operation, particularly during late shifts.

Essential skills & experience:

  • Previous experience as a Shift Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar role in a logistics, transport, or distribution environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A hands-on, approachable leadership style.
  • Comfortable working with IT systems - experience with ERP systems (particularly Business Central) is beneficial.
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative, especially during the quieter end of the shift when managing a smaller team (3-4 people).

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to make your mark - with succession potential as the site's future operational lead.
  • Join a supportive, experienced management team who value collaboration and long-term growth.
  • Be part of an exciting period of system and process modernisation.
