Stock Controller

Cast UK is delighted to be partnering with a market-leading distribution business as it continues to grow its Stock Planning function. We are seeking a highly organised, detail-focused Stock Controller to join a fast-paced and collaborative team, playing a vital role in maintaining product availability across a diverse and expanding range.

The Role

As a Stock Planner, you will take full responsibility for maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring availability targets are consistently achieved. You will support the wider business through accurate planning, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving.

Working closely with suppliers, operations, transport, and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure stock is managed efficiently and flows seamlessly through the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaising with suppliers to ensure purchase orders are delivered on time and in full
• Monitoring product availability and ensuring performance consistently meets agreed business targets
• Managing stock levels in line with agreed cover, supporting working capital objectives and minimising excess stock
• Analysing stock holdings to identify slow-moving or obsolete stock (SLOB) and recommending appropriate action
• Working closely with Buying, Stock, Operations and Sales teams to maximise availability and service levels across the business
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to the ongoing development of the Stock Planning function
