Are you a Buyer with experience procuring machined / fabricated parts and managing sub-contract suppliers?

What will the role involve?

• Managing day to day purchasing requirements for machined/fabricated parts
• Raising POs and expediting delivery dates for parts for Production
• Negotiating prices and contractual agreements with sub-contract suppliers
• Managing supplier quality and performance, including regular face to face visits with suppliers across the UK

What will you ideally bring to the role?

• Previous Purchasing experience in Manufacturing/Engineering
• Proven track record purchasing machined / fabricated parts
• Experience managing sub-contract suppliers
• Ability to understand technical specifications / read engineering drawings
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict timelines
• Analytical, structured and good attention to detail
• Willingness to undertake regular business travel in the UK (overnight stays not usually necessary)
