Role Profile

Our client is a growing business supplying into the building / decorating supplies sector.

This is a field-based role with a national remit, and will see you travelling to DIY stores / builders merchants to build relationships, promote the product range and maximise orders.

The candidate can be based anywhere in the UK but must be willing and able to undertake nationwide business travel, including some overnight stays.

What will the role involve?

• Maintaining and growing existing customer accounts within a national network of builders merchants / décor / DIY stores
• Conducting face to face visits and meetings to promote the product range
• Providing product training to store staff
• Running trade days in store as/when required
• Liaising with internal sales team / Account Managers to ensure the smooth running of accounts

What are we looking for?

• Enthusiastic and proactive approach with drive and ambition to succeed in sales / account management
• Willingness to undertake extensive national travel, including overnight stays
• Previous sales experience, ideally in a field-based role
• Good industry knowledge, having previously worked within the DIY / decorating / building supplies sector
