I am working with an exciting company that are growing their business and are looking to bring in a fantastic candidate to oversee all things transport in their Nuneaton site, from compliance to planning to working on projects within the logistics department. This role would be great for an ambitious individual that wants to expand and develop their own skills within the logistics and transport industry!

Role responsibilities:

• Day to day management of transport team, working with drivers and the delivery crew to ensure deliveries are completed on time and in full to the best standard possible.
• Planning routes for the drivers to ensure the efficiency in order to meet KPI's.
• General vehicles and driver compliance.
• Support and development of the teams, focussing on 121's, training, performance reviews.
• Understanding the costing and budgeting and liaising with the accounts department.
• Representing the team in key stakeholder meetings.
• Building fantastic working relationships between both internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate requitements:

• Experience of leading a team and helping team members to develop their skills.
• Transport compliance and route planning experience.
• Excellent organisational skills with a systematic approach to complete tasks.
• A confident communicator with the ability to communicate to all levels of personnel.
• A hands-on team player.
• Great initiative with the ability to prioritise your work load as needed.

Remuneration:

• Salary of £30,000 with excellent wider benefits.
