Transport Shift Manager, Luton, £40,000-£45,000 per annum

Role Profile

Cast UK have been instructed by our client Igloo Thermo Logistics to recruit a Transport Shift Manager to manage the Transport team at their Luton depot. This is a new role to the business and will have full responsibility for the day to day running of the Operation.

Igloo Thermo Logistics is a national next-day logistics company. They specialize in temperature-controlled distribution throughout the UK transporting parcels to pallets.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and communicate with all members of the Transport team ensuring the smooth day to day running of the delivery operation.
• Oversee the HR responsibilities for the team including Annual Leave, Absence, Attendance & Recruitment.
• Forecast and plan for future shift planning with reference to forecast, volumes, holidays, etc.
• Ensure there is an effective de-briefing process on a daily basis.

Skills & Experience:

• CPC preferred
• Experience of managing teams in a Transport environment.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload in fast paced operations.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to deal with individuals at all levels

Remuneration

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum
