If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you! Cast UK are supporting a leading wholesale business in their recruitment process for a Warehouse Manager, based in Calverton.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for day-to-day management of a busy warehouse operation
- Provide leadership and guidance to the management team consisting of Supervisors, Team Leaders etc, ensuring any areas for development are identified and addressed.
- Ensure site costs are managed to budget, with appropriate colleague rota planning and scheduling to meet anticipated activity levels.
- Overall accountability for site H&S, ensuring the warehouse operates safely and promotes a safety-first culture.
- Improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the site and develop a culture of operational excellence.
- Lead and drive ongoing projects across the operation, including identification and implementation of new systems and ways of working.
- Carrier management responsibility for the site, ensuring haulage partners work in partnership and achieve SLA's and rectifying any ongoing instances of non-conformance.
Skills & Experience
- Operational experience working with SKU's or high volumes of stock.
- Experience using WMS, and ideally experience implementing new systems would be advantageous.
- Charismatic leadership with ability to influence at all levels. Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Financial understanding and cost management.
