Role Profile

Cast UK are working in partnership with Tri-Star Packaging, the UK's leading food-to-go packaging supplier. Part of Bunzl PLC, who are a FTSE 100 business, the companies are seeing continued growth across their operation by developing existing accounts and by attracting new customers. You will work Monday to Friday 7am-3;30pm.

The Warehouse Team Leader role requires an individual who can lead a team of warehouse operatives to ensure that all warehouse functions are completed efficiently and accurately within the agreed time scales, receipt, put away, stock rotation, stock counting etc. The Warehouse Team Leader will create schedules, monitor stock levels and know when to replenish stock. The role will be focused on ensuring every item of stock gets to its destination on time, and there are no shortages and resolving issues efficiently, accurately and quickly, making sure the correct resource is in place to ensure the operation functions properly with minimal impact on the budget.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations to ensure that all processes are executed efficiently and effectively
• Plan and coordinate the work of a team of warehouse operatives to ensure all tasks are completed within deadlines
• Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy and that all equipment is properly maintained
• Develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
• Lead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve daily targets
• Liaise with other departments to ensure that all aspects of the supply chain are functioning effectively
• Ensure that all stock is accurately recorded and managed in line with company procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or similar role
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a warehouse environment
• Familiarity with warehouse management software and systems
