Role Profile
Our client based in the Warrington area is looking to recruit a Strategic Buyer to join their Procurement team.
This is a diverse procurement role where you will be expected to identify and deliver effective procurement strategies that will add value for stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Appraise and implement appropriate sourcing strategies across a wide range of categories
- Deliver sourcing strategies to ensure added value and cost savings for end users
- Autonomously manage competitive tendering, RFQs and contractual negotiations
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven Procurement experience, including tender processes and contract management, particularly in Indirect categories
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Proven time management skills
- Strong analytical / Excel skills
Candidates with MCIPS or part CIPS qualification are preferred
