Bunzl Catering Supplies, part of the Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division, is the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering sectors in the UK. Delivering to a variety of customers in both the private and public sector from small independent cafe owners, local health trusts and schools to national hotel and restaurant chains.

As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering, Cast UK have been instructed to recruit a HR Advisor for their operations based in Enfield or Harlow. The HR Advisor serves as a crucial link between the company and its employees and will therefore be skilled negotiators at striking compromises. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing generalist day-to-day operational Human Resources service to all employees and managers within designated operating company in accordance with Bunzl HR policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnering commercial operations in developing and delivering a range of people based strategies and solutions to attract, retain and develop a flexible, high calibre workforce focused on business growth and the provision of excellent customer service
  • Ensure that all Company HR policies and procedures are adhered to; maintain appropriate records and documentation in line with current employment law.
  • Drive staff engagement through ensuring good people management practices and providing assistance, support and advice to Operational Business Leaders
  • Build a visible and regular presence of HR to maintain and deliver the HR strategy plan
  • Assist in activities relating to CR including Health & Safety, Environment, and Community etc. ensuring an appropriate response.
  • Keep Directors and HR team appraised of all HR activity and assist HR colleagues with recruitment, grievances and hearings where necessary.
  • Provision of induction and other appropriate training programmes/ workshops for employees/line managers based on a need's analysis.

Candidates are sought who are organised, can communicate with others at all levels and who provide good service to achieve the business aim. The role may be specialist in nature and is likely to require independent activity. Authority and decision making, when vested in the position should apply to knowledge and expertise. The successful candidate should have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion and work within clearly defined work parameters.
