Role Profile
Our client, a market leading retail business based in the North West, is looking to appoint an International Branch Merchandiser due to growth in 2019. Reporting into the International Trading Manager, you will play a key part in developing the branch merchandising strategy whilst leading the team to deliver sales, markdown, stock, intake and profit plans. Following a hugely successful 2018, this is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and hardworking individual with experience in a similar branch merchandising to join a growing retail business that can offer further development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing weekly trading performance, identifying any issues / the course of action in preparation for the weekly trading meetings
  • Proposing and agreeing actions to recover risk and maximise opportunities at country/department/store/category and brand level
  • Reviewing monthly BU Forecasts, highlighting proposed actions to team merchandisers and management
  • Forecasting DC Outbound despatch numbers based on current performance and new store date changes
  • Undertaking international visits
  • Creating the strategies for each country and presenting to management
  • Reviewing department quarterly plans at category level, ensuring they reflect best possible mix of product to deliver KPI's
  • Reviewing range plan at store level
  • Planning DC outbound despatch by country and product type to manage warehouse requirements
  • Managing new store opening portfolio, ensuring all stores open on time with a relevant and sufficient stock package to drive maximum sales and densities



Skills & Experience

  • Branch merchandising experience is essential at Junior level or above
  • Highly organised with the ability to cope with the pressures of working in a fast-paced head office
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong working relationships
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
