Role Profile

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role will manage key commercial activities between the business and its Customers and support the resolution and negotiation of key procurement opportunities. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the ensuring that business is conducted in line with contracted obligations to customers as well as internal policy and procedures and to understand and manage the financial and risk implications of any variation to such terms.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that the business is managing and executing its obligations under commercial and procurement agreements and continue to develop commercial profile across the operation
  • Support all strategic procurement initiatives and conduct negotiations with customers to manage the successful outcome to challenges.
  • Manage the interface between the business and its customers and work to resolve key issues and build a strong customer relationship.
  • Ensure effective review, acceptance, delivery and closure of incoming requirements

Candidate Profile

  • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in Public Sector procurement environments, including complex negotiation and the successful resolution of key business issues.
  • The successful candidate shall ideally be CIPS certified with a balanced procurement background from a variety of sectors.
  • Experience in commercial leadership and team development and direction.
  • The successful candidate shall be a concise and confident communicator at a range of levels within the business and shall demonstrate an ability to generate commercial positions and develop arguments in support of achievement towards goals.
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate an ability to construct and assess a credible position with a wide range of professionals across multiple technical sectors

Remuneration

£40,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits + Flexible Working
