Role Profile

Our client is a manufacturing company in Carlisle looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager.

This is an end to end Supply Chain role with responsibility for Procurement, Inventory management, Planning, Warehousing and Distribution.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and mentor the Supply Chain and Operations teams
  • Establish a high performing and efficient supply chain to ensure exceptional levels of customer service
  • Define and implement effective procurement and supply chain strategies
  • Manage key supplier relationships and lead negotiations for supply contracts
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven leadership skills with experience of managing Supply Chain and Operations teams
  • Strong end to end supply chain knowledge in areas such as procurement, inventory management, planning, warehousing and distribution
  • Excellent SRM and Procurement skills, with in depth knowledge of supplier qualification processes and supplier performance metrics
  • Previous experience of sourcing in the Far East
  • Sharp commercial acumen and honed negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
