How we delivered for Bunzl Catering

Case Study

Utilizing their global purchasing power, Bunzl Catering Supplies source responsibly, ethically manufactured products from the UK and overseas, via trusted supplier partnerships. Consolidating these products in a national network of 7 operating branches and a National Distribution centre in Birch Coppice, Tamworth, BCS deliver to their customers on their own fleet of liveried vehicles.

I have found that the level of service and professionalism is exceptional. For me, one of the most important aspects of any relationship is ongoing communication and ensuring that I am kept up to speed with a process and how this is progressing and this is certainly an element of the service provided that I feel is a strength of Cast.

The brief

BCS required 42 employees for a completely new site in Harlow, Essex. This included managers, supervisors, administration staff, warehouse operatives as well as drivers.

The challenge

The lead time of 10 weeks from recruitment to site opening date was very tight.

Our approach

  • We met with the senior management to agree a clear brief and timescales.
  • We assigned a dedicated team consisting to an Account Director and 2 consultants as well as admin support for the project.
  • We conducted regular review sessions with Bunzl to ensure the project stayed on track.
  • We worked in partnership with the Bunzl team to ensure a slick interview process and assessment centres organisation.
