Role Profile

Cast UK are delighted to be recruiting an Application Service Delivery Manager for Bunzl UK & Ireland which is part of Bunzl PLC, a multinational distribution and outsourcing company headquartered in London and active in 30 countries. In total there are 5 Divisions and 25 operating companies.

The Application Service Delivery Manager is responsible for the technical implementation, transition to production and ownership of key shared application services within Bunzl UK & Ireland. This role reports to the EDI & BI Manager with extended stakeholder management applicable to the Financial Shared Service Centre, internal businesses and external vendor resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Have knowledge and understanding of the application solution, functionality and service interactions.
  • Be the senior point of contact for the FSSC, business and other stakeholders for application issues and queries.
  • Manage stakeholders to ensure a successful transition of the application from project state to the production support environment.
  • Ensure that production transition requirements are met, including outstanding project issue resolution, solution documentation, handover, training and applicable vendor support agreements.
  • Manage development and production delivery to agreed metrics and service levels.
  • Ensure monitoring of production performance and support proactive initiatives to ensure application stability and avoid production outages.
  • Collaborate across IT and business functions to identify and communicate integration issues between applications or services.
  • Support audit or regulatory data requests or issues.
  • Agree vendor and stakeholder service levels.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Relevant experience in Application Support Management as an IT Service Offering.
  • Understanding logical application interoperability between different IT services to deliver the application function.
  • Ability to work under pressure and requiring the ability to prioritise and plan effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with BI Reporting solutions: e.g. Power BI
  • Effective co-ordination skills - able to prioritise and execute competing activities
