Calling all Buyers with a manufacturing / engineering background! Are you currently available to undertake a six month contract for a fantastic manufacturing business near Ashton Under Lyne?

You would be working as part of a supportive, close-knit Purchasing team, and there is real potential for the role to be made permanent after the initial contract term.

What will the role involve?

• Sourcing and purchasing a wide range of parts and products
• Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
• Raising POs and scheduling / expediting deliveries
• Identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation and/or SKU rationalisation
• Working to deliver cost savings to the business
• Supporting the company's inventory reduction initiative

Ideal Skills and Experience

• Previous purchasing experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Experience buying parts from engineering drawings / technical specifications
• Confident negotiation and expediting skills
• High attention to detail with good ERP skills
• Passion to develop your procurement skills and progress your career!
