Bunzl Catering Supplies, part of Bunzl PLC, a FTSE 100 specialist distribution group supply into a wide variety of customers in the contract catering, food to go, restaurant and hotel sectors. Their product range includes tableware, disposables, food packaging, food safety & hygiene, janitorial and cleaning products.

A position has arisen in the Credit Control team at Bunzl Catering's UK Head Office based in Epsom. Reporting into the Credit Control Manager, the credit Control supervisor will lead a team that is tasked with maximising cash flow whilst minimising overdue debt and bad debt exposure by ensuring that all sales ledger processes and controls are adhered to. Other key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Ensure all customer payment terms are adhered to
• Regularly review customer credit limits
• Complete credit and fraud checks on new customers
• Establish a rapport with internal and external customers to develop excellent working relationships
• Align systems and processes with customers to improve service levels and efficiency
• Ensure all disputes are resolved in a timely manner
• Month end reporting

The role of Credit Control Supervisor will assume responsibility for the day to day coaching, development and support to a credit control team of 5 colleagues.

Skills & Experience

Candidates are sought who are articulate, numerate and possess a solid working knowledge of credit control methods and techniques. Experience of credit control processes and procedures is an essential requirement. Competent with Microsoft Excel, including working knowledge of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, applicants will ideally have experience of using Sage. Previous exposure to managing a team is also pre requisite for this role.
