Location: North West London
Salary: Competitive Benefits
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-2pm (compressed working week)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Manufacturing to lead a well-established UK manufacturing operation based in North West London.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take full responsibility for production, operations, and continuous improvement across a multi-disciplinary manufacturing site.

You'll be joining a respected business with a strong heritage, known for its high-quality products, innovation, and commitment to excellence. The company operates across several production areas including textiles, metalwork, and electronics, supplying customers across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of skilled production and operations staff across multiple manufacturing departments including electrical assembly, textiles, engineering, forge and electronic assembly.
  • Drive performance through effective leadership, motivation, and clear KPIs.
  • Oversee all factory operations including production planning, quality control, and on-time delivery.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all departments, supported by external H&S advisors.
  • Manage facilities and building services, ensuring equipment and site standards are maintained.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align manufacturing strategy with overall business goals.
  • Produce regular operational reports and performance updates.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Head of Manufacturing, Factory Manager, Production Manager, or Operations Manager within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop teams.
  • Experience working within a multi-process or multi-discipline manufacturing environment (e.g., metalwork, textiles, assembly, or engineering).
  • Good understanding of Lean manufacturing, KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety and HR processes.
  • A proactive, hands-on manager who enjoys solving problems and driving operational excellence.
