Cast UK are delighted to be partnering with a leading national distribution business to recruit a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, values-driven organisation within a dynamic HR team supporting sites across the South.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you'll play a key role in providing hands-on HR support across multiple sites, helping to deliver the company's people strategy and supporting managers through the full employee lifecycle. You'll be involved in a broad range of generalist HR activities - from employee relations and recruitment to learning and development initiatives.

This is a full-time role based in Reading, with occasional national travel. A company car or car allowance is provided for travel when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries across the business.
  • Support managers with recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Advise on employee relations matters including performance, conduct, and attendance.
  • Coordinate training and development activity across the region.
  • Maintain HR systems and ensure data accuracy.
  • Support projects around engagement, inclusion, and people development.
  • Assist in delivering consistent HR processes and communication across all sites.

About You

  • Experienced HR Advisor or HR Officer with strong generalist knowledge.
  • Ideally from a logistics, distribution, or fast-paced operational background.
  • Confident supporting managers on employee relations cases.
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • CIPD qualified (or working towards) desirable.
