About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturing and logistics business, is seeking an experienced Logistics Team Leader to drive operational excellence, productivity, and team performance across their warehouse and distribution operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on logistics professional to lead a small team of warehouse associates, optimize workflows, and ensure efficiency targets are met without compromising quality, safety, or customer satisfaction. The role will play a critical part in maintaining smooth operations, embedding best practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise logistics staff to maximise throughput and ensure on-time delivery.
• Set and monitor daily/weekly productivity targets, tracking KPIs such as OTIF, FGTR, and Order Fulfilment Cycle Time.
• Optimise warehouse and logistics workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Enforce quality standards, ensuring accurate labelling, damage-free packaging, and compliance with company procedures.
• Champion a zero-incident safety culture, conducting toolbox talks, safety audits, and emergency response drills.
• Maintain audit-ready records and provide accurate reporting on operational performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and lean logistics practices.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics or warehouse supervision, ideally within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams while achieving operational targets.
• Strong knowledge of WMS/TMS/ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
