Role Profile
Cast UK are representing a growing family business in their search for an Operations Manager as part of their strategic growth plan. This role will play a vital role for maintaining smooth operations, overseeing a dedicated team, and delivering exceptional services to valued customers. The role is based onsite and is Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of technicians and administrative staff to offer guidance, training, and regular performance feedback to optimise team performance.
  • Cultivate a positive work environment, foster teamwork, and resolve conflicts among team members.
  • Manage day-to-day operations ensuring timely project completion to meet customer deadlines.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, coordinating with suppliers to ensure availability.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Maintain open communication throughout the process, delivering regular updates and addressing customer feedback.
  • Ensure that all completed works adhere to the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Manage the facility's budget, monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and optimising profitability through management of key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue, expenses, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team for tasks such as invoicing, billing, and general administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in operational management is required.
  • A background working in automotive or manufacturing environments would be desirable.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to foster a 'first in class service' and deliver ahead of expectation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Proven track record of delivering best in class customer service.
  • Ability to demonstrate working safely practices.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
