Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 (DOE) Benefits

An established and growing logistics and supply chain business is seeking an experienced and commercially focused People Partner to support operational sites across the region.
This is a hands-on HR role working closely with operational leaders within fast-paced transport, warehousing and logistics environments. You will play a key role in supporting managers, driving employee engagement, improving people performance and ensuring HR best practice across multiple sites.
The successful candidate will be a confident HR professional with strong employee relations experience, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively within a dynamic operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Independently manage a range of employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance and conduct issues.
- Support managers with investigations, hearings and outcome management.
- Provide practical and commercially focused HR advice in line with employment legislation and company policy.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and case records.
HR Business Partnering
- Partner with operational managers across logistics, warehousing and transport functions.
- Support leadership teams in driving engagement, performance and accountability.
- Coach and develop managers on people management and leadership capability.
- Identify workforce risks including absence, turnover and capability concerns.
- Support organisational change and workforce planning activities.
Compliance & HR Processes
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Support HR policy development and implementation.
- Assist with audits, investigations and operational compliance activities.
- Work collaboratively with payroll and operational teams to support accurate employee data and payroll processing.
Learning & Development
- Support and deliver Learning & Development initiatives across operational teams.
- Conduct training needs analysis and support management development programmes.
- Assist with apprenticeship, graduate and emerging talent initiatives.
- Deliver training workshops and support continuous improvement activities.
Recruitment & Employee Engagement
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities for operational roles.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
- Promote a positive and inclusive working culture across all sites.
About You
- Previous experience within a HR Generalist, HR Business Partner or People Partner role.
- Strong employee relations experience with the confidence to manage cases independently.
- Experience supporting multi-site operational environments, ideally within logistics, transport, warehousing or supply chain.
- Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience coaching and supporting managers.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially aware with a practical and solutions-focused approach.
