This is a crucial role within the structure, so offers the opportunity to really make a real impact on the company. You will report into the Supply Chain Director and oversee an excellent team of planners and schedulers while bringing together multiple departments.
So, what will be involved in the role?
If you've worked in a senior planning role within a manufacturing operation previously you'll know what it takes - effectively managing the planers, schedules to ensure a cost effective running of the manufacturing process. You will also bring together multiple departments to assist in the execution of the operational strategy, making sure day to day KPI's are met.
As Planning Manager you are responsible for driving S&OP and IBP improvements, again another opportunity to make the role your own.
You'll achieve this utilising your super-organisation and planning skills, as well as inspirational leadership and clear communication of goals to impart instruction to various stakeholders as a crucial cog within the supply chain.
You'll be based at the factory in Cumbria, the role is typically Monday to Friday with flexibility required in line with business needs.
