Role Profile

Working as the lead of the Production Engineering manager for a successful manufacturing business, this position will take responsibility for the management of my client's production team while being a key member in being the lead contact for internal and external stakeholders. Key duties of the role include:

• Responsibility of the implementation of ISO 18001 H&S while maintaining high levels of accreditation and implementing production systems.
• Overall responsibility of reducing manufacturing costs through Lean and Six Sigma
• Liaise with the different departments across the business in ensuring high standards and deployment of Lean techniques
• Take personal responsibility for the quality output of all sub and finished goods assembly cells.
• Liaise with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure that safe working practices are maintained throughout the team.

Skills and Experience

• Experience of Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing principles
• Previous management experience advantageous
• Experience of reducing material cost through design and reporting
• Previous role in heavy Manufacturing is key
