Role Profile
Cast UK are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our client's design & engie team in Southampton. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate Project Manager to take on a challenging role in an exciting and dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all projects, from concept to completion. This will include developing and implementing project plans, managing resources and budgets, and ensuring that all tasks are completed within the designated time and budget. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring project progress and quality and providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
This role requires a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects at once and possess the ability to problem solve and think strategically.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring projects are delivered professionally on time and within budget.
- Maintaining accurate accounting records including pricing, budgeting, and reporting
- Establish standards of safety and performance on projects and inspect quality of work against these standards
- Maintaining the professional reputation of the company at all times
Key Skills
- Thorough knowledge of the standard methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices of the work involved. Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the events and specifically marquee industry.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally at all levels.
- Ability to effectively supervise skilled workers and semi-skilled workers.
- Ability to interpret and work from sketches, drawings, plans, and quotations.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to monitor material and labour estimates and costs.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and other site personnel.
- Skilled in the use of standard tools and equipment of the trade
- Skilled in the use of computers to prepare quotations and budgets
- Experience of working with computerized stock control systems preferential
- Experience of using CAD/drawing software programs preferential but not essential
Duties
- Install and manage teams to deliver successful projects
- Project costing/budget management
- Effective supplier management
- Bringing together the full team across projects
- Project process - costing, sourcing materials, timings, critical paths etc.
- Logistics, technical and production
- Leading project review meetings/debriefs
- Working alongside the Senior project manager and Managing director on larger projects
- Working on pitches and tenders alongside the Sales Team as a specialist in project management/delivery
- Coaching and mentoring on project management, Foreman, site crew and yard crew
- Overseeing projects
- Developing current and new products and processes
- And occasionally rolling up sleeves and helping unload a van or wash a lining.
