Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a thriving business in the Wigan area as a Purchasing Assistant.

This is a fast-paced busy role working for a great organisation that offers a fantastic office space and working environment for its staff.

Your Key Responsibilities as Purchasing Assistant will include:

• Requesting quotations for one-off and bespoke items from existing and new suppliers

• Negotiating pricing and delivery terms in order to achieve best possible commercial agreements

• Placing purchase orders with suppliers and expediting deliveries
• Ongoing supplier relationship management with key vendors
• Resolving day to day issues with supply and supporting the Purchasing team with day to day purchasing activities as required

• Providing best possible service levels to internal customers and departments

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a fast paced purchasing role
• Confidence and tenacity to negotiate with suppliers on terms and pricing
• High attention to detail and good organisation skills
• Passion and drive to progress your career in Purchasing
• Good relationship management skills
