Quality Engineer

Role Profile
Our client is a well-established Logistics business known for its commitment to operational excellence. They are currently seeking a Quality Engineer with an electrical background to join their team and play an important role to improve quality processes through effective change management. If you are an Engineer with quality and electrical background with a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that colleagues across various job functions prioritise quality in their roles.
- Aid the team in gathering and analysing data from measurable points in the repair process to identify trends and pinpoint areas for improvement.
- Provide support in managing corrective actions and monitoring improvements in quality when deviations are identified.
- Oversee and lead both internal and external audit schedules.
- Produce and deliver high-quality, insightful audit reports containing improvement recommendations.
- Conduct quality investigations such as 8D's, 5Y's, RCA events, and FMEA activities.
- Drive and support quality clinics and contribute to Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions.
- Lead the collection of data and input into corrective action boards and management reviews.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Utilize variable and attribute data extracted from the VIPI system to assess, analyse, and validate the quality of supplied data.
- Collate and analyse Key Performance Indicator data.
What are we looking for?
- Degree-level education or an HNC/D.
- An education in Electronic Engineering, Test Engineering and Computer Sciences would be desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Packages. Any experience of using Tableau would be a strong advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills using root cause analysis techniques.
- Substantial experience as a quality assurance technician, focusing on improving quality processes.
- Ability to effectively convey complex technical issues to both Technicians and the Leadership team.
- Good manual dexterity for tasks involving mechanical assembly and disassembly.
