South East and South West (Excluding London)
£25,000 - £32,000 per annum plus mileage
Role Profile
An exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to take ownership for the HR function across a region. Home-based but with the expectation that the candidate builds a solid understanding of their region through visiting and regularly working with sites under their remit. Candidates must be able to start in May.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support, guidance and advice to Managers on all HR issues within their region, including on absences, equal opportunities, conduct, capability, performance management and improvement, the HR People Plan and Policies and Procedures,
- Ensure sickness and absence policy is applied consistently, utilising GP and Occupational Reports as required,
- To support organisational change through appropriate policies, procedures and best practices. This includes redundancy and change of contract consultations.
- To proactively work with the operations team to anticipate and establish gaps in staffing levels, taking appropriate action to ensure maximum staffing levels,
- Offering insights and helping shape decision making through production and presentation of HR data for regional/area meetings,
- Collate and maintain accurate HR records including: Sickness & Absence, Leavers, Current Employees, Performance Management and provide reports as required.
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR principles,
- Previous use of HR Information Systems,
- Self-reliant and the ability to manage own time and workload,
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality,
- Driving license,
