This role sits between an assistant buyer, buyer and the purchasing manager to make up buying team of 4. You will report into the purchasing manager and have a hand in developing the assistant buyer and buyer thus developing yourself in the process.

So, what will be involved in the role?

If you've worked as a Senior Buyer in a large manufacturing operation previously, you'll know what it takes - effectively managing suppliers and stakeholders in the planning and execution of the operational strategy, making sure day to day KPI's are met.

You'll achieve this utilising your super-organisation and planning skills, as well as your negotiation and interpersonal skills to build supplier relationships.

You'll be based at the 150,000 sq. ft. facility circa 10 miles outside of Glasgow, the role is typically Monday to Friday, 9-5 with flexibility required in line with business needs.

What are we looking for?

Ideally you'll have a strong background working in fast-paced manufacturing operations, with demonstrable experience in purchasing of raw materials/textiles/components.

As expected with a role of this nature, you'll need to be enthusiastic, passionate about people with a keen eye for detail and a confident negotiator.

Having a degree and CIPS qualification would be extremely desirable. An advanced knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is essential.
