Role Profile

As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering group, Cast UK have been instructed to recruit a Software Support Specialist for their AGGORA team based out of their head office in Redditch.

A new and exciting opportunity at the forefront of an emerging technology, IOT. The successful candidate will primarily be involved with the IT teams new IOT function. Sourcing LoRaWAN gateways and remote monitoring sensors. Configuring the equipment to a specification ready to deploy. Installing the kit into the customer's site. Running tests to confirm successful installation. When not involved in an IOT installation, the candidate will be helping the team to support our bespoke software systems across all platforms. There is also an opportunity, if so desired, to gain entry into a career in .NET software development.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Becoming a key member of the IT team's new IOT function. Being involved from development, all the way to the solution's production stages.
• Learning and supporting a multitude of bespoke desktop/mobile based software systems across the business.
• Being a primary contact for software change requests from end users.

Skills and Experience

• Basic programming principles
• General Database knowledge (SQL)
• The ability to problem solve with root cause analysis
• Numerate
