Role Profile
Our client, who is the market leader within their specialism, is looking to recruit a Transport Serive delivery Manager for their operation based in Heathrow. Reporting into the Head of Transport, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of an effective and consistent service to a number of key customers. Responsibilities include:

• To manage all direct reports daily ensuring they have the required skills, knowledge, give guidance and motivation as required to achieve service excellence to the highest standards, exceeding where possible.
• Ensure Company Health and Safety procedures are carried out and that all drivers adhere to driving legislation always.
• Manage all fleet vehicles, including hire, in line with Company policies and Ministry of Transport Regulations.
• Reviewing and improving productivity through effective provision of planning information
• To maintain all documentation and ensure compliance with legal requirements in regard to transportation, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environment.
• Cost effective utilization of vehicles and management of vehicle maintenance
• Development of transport team/operation
• Incident and accident investigation

Skills and Experiences
To be successful in this role you'll have very strong people management and development skills and be able to build strong relationships with other departments. Be inquisitive, innovative, getting people on board, good listener and able to convey information to all levels. Also to be able to work in a fast paced environment, juggle many task daily and act on information to improve service internally and externally.
