WK Thomas are an industry leading supplier of specialised packaging & containers with over 50 years' experience in both the travel and food service sectors. Part of Bunzl PLC, who are a FTSE 100 business, WK Thomas packaging are experiencing continued growth across their operation by developing existing accounts and consistently attracting new customer.

Due to the continued growth of the business, they are now looking to recruit a high calibre Transport Supervisor for their operation based in Chessington. You will be responsible for control of drivers, vehicles and route planning within the site.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of the transport department.
• Ensure all vehicles and drivers conform to relevant health and safety and Road Traffic legislation
• Ensure route planning and vehicle loading is appropriate and suggest improvements where possible
• Optimise the routes to be the most cost effective available.
• Ensure OTIF ( on time in full ) is met and that all deliveries are executed as per the customer requirements
• Direct the effectiveness of private, third party and contract carriage systems

Skills & Experience

A proven Transport Supervisor is sought who has considerable experience in managing fast paced transport operations, preferably within the food distribution or courier distribution sector. You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in providing exemplary customer service levels to clients as well as giving examples of commercial acumen and implementing the ideas into operations.
