Role Profile
Cast UK are working in partnership with Tri-Star Packaging, the UK's leading food-to-go packaging supplier. Part of Bunzl PLC, who are a FTSE 100 business, the companies are seeing continued growth across their operation by developing existing accounts and by attracting new customers. Due to the continued growth of the business, they are now looking to recruit an exceptional Inventory Manager who has a proven record of working with in a fast-paced, complex operation. You will focus on gathering facts or performing specialist assignments.
The Inventory Manager will be responsible for maintaining an accurate stock file, analysing various KPI's and working closely with Warehouse Managers to make sure that processes are audited and amended in order to improve accuracy and efficiency on site and across the network.
Also, to produce and develop a reporting suite to share with Senior Management, suitable to indicate and measure success rate and progress on a regular basis.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Liaise with Warehouse Managers to ensure daily, weekly and monthly inventory tasks are carried out accurately and efficiently
- Liaise with other internal departments to maintain inventory accuracy, standard procedures, controls and practices
- Identify and understand the root cause of stock adjustments across the network and produce action plans in order to continuously reduce stock loss
- Conduct and Manage auditing of all warehouse processes
- Develop and understand daily, weekly and monthly reports to provide indication of inventory performance and highlight required areas of focus and intervention
- Create and publish monthly inventory packs at both network and site level to indicate performance and progression
- Conduct a rolling review of warehouse processes in order to adapt existing procedures and implement new ways of working, resulting continuous improvements
- Identify and lead various projects to enhance stock integrity and performance on site and across the network
- Liaise with Operations, Finance and Purchasing departments to develop and maintain dead stock exit Process
- React to business wins and various other changes to make sure that an accurate stock file and efficiencies are maintained, ensuring that robust service levels and processes remain throughout and after transitions
- Work closely with Purchasing and Stock Control teams to address any supplier and packaging issues
Skills & Experience
You will have the drive to achieve results in a friendly and collaborative manner, but at all times maintain quality and standards. You will have the ability to absorb and impart information to others, working within standard operating procedures. Communication is key in this role, so you should have good verbal and written skills. Good numerical skills are essential and so is the ability to learn complex financial concepts. The successful candidate for this position will be positive, participative, self-confident, friendly and importantly self-starting.
