Role Profile
Cast UK are working in partnership with Bunzl Healthcare, part of Bunzl PLC. We are leading the search for a Warehouse Operations Manager for their operation at Leicester which consists of 2 depots. This is a new role within the division that has come about through an internal restructure and continued growth. Reporting into the National Operations Manager, the main purpose of the new role will be to manage operational processes to ensure the effective flow of goods into, through and out of the warehouse to the point of delivery. In addition, the role will focus on implementing and maintaining quality management systems and lean principles to ensure Bunzl remains an efficient, low cost operator providing exceptional value for their customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Line management responsibility for Inbound, Outbound and Admin managers
• Overall responsibility of circa 70 staff across 2 operations and 100,000 square foot of warehousing

• Development and talent pipelining of colleagues
• Work with the procurement team and transport operation to ensure the supply chain and logistics operation runs to plan
• Process mapping and delivering change across the business
• Reviewing and implementing KPI's across the business
• Management of warehouse budgets

Skills & Experience
Candidates are sought who can bring structure, organisation and uniformity to Bunzl's Leicester operations. You will be experienced in managing large teams and will be a natural leader with the ability to develop colleagues and lead a positive culture on site. Previous exposure to fast moving operations is essential as is the ability to manage operationally day to day as well as longer term strategic operational planning.
