Role Profile
Gideon Hillman Consulting is one of the UK's leading Logistics and Supply Chain Consultancies. Established in 2004, they provide consultancy services throughout the UK and Europe to over 250 customers ranging from SME's to international blue-chip organisations.
With the head office in Royal Leamington Spa, the business is going through a period of sustained growth which is seeing an increasing number of new business enquiries from new and existing customers week on week.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director, the Internal Sales Manager will have one direct report and will also liaise directly day to day with all the Consultants in the business and administration support team. Key responsibilities of the Internal Sales Manager will include:
- Managing the sales administration process from initial enquiry through 'deal stages' i.e. pipeline management.
- Qualifying the initial enquiry in terms of actual high- level requirements and confirm the customers availability and any specific requirements (i.e. presentation etc…) for a consultant to visit (i.e. initial sales call).
- Day to day management of the Office Administrator and responsible for ensuring that all SALES admin requirements are met for management of projects and invoicing schedules
- Manage, develop and optimise processes within the day to day business operations and ensure that these are in line with the process and procedural requirements in the ISO 9001:2015 procedures manual. Ensure that the office administrator keeps the manual up to date and manage non-compliance of the procedures by any personnel within the business.
- Be a point of contact for support on live projects for both consultants and the client
- Provide various quarterly and monthly management reports
- Ranking the quality of the sales enquiry against a set of established criteria
- Identifying the appropriate person within the business to carry out the sales visit
- Reviewing and approving proposals, relevance of case studies and costings (drafted by Office Administrator from the Sales call sheets) prior to proposals being submitted to the client.
- Managing the deal stage process within HubSpot CRM which requires client interaction on the telephone and email
- Manage client expectations and negotiate through to order stage.
- Resource forecasting and planning for current and future projects.
Skills & Experience
- Commercially minded, well organised an excellent understanding and experience of the Logistics sector.
- The ability to quickly digest and filter sales enquiries and direct them to the most relevant person within the business is essential.
- Must be able to evidence exceptional customer service skills and have experience of implementing and managing process and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Experience of successful sales negotiation in the B2B / Logistics sector.
- The ability to understand, develop and explain technical logistics and supply chain concepts and solutions.
- Exceptional relationship builder with the ability to structure and write commercial proposals, business reports and presentations and an excellent telephone manner communicating with clarity and logic.
- Analytical - identify issues quickly and be able to condense large amounts of information in order to isolate relevant facts.
Remuneration
£40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits
